Only the SEAS logo is allowed on any clothing. It can be embroidered on shirts, sweaters, vests, jumpers, etc. at Lands End on an individual piece-by-piece basis.

No other logos, words, pictures, advertisements, appliqués, emblems or embroidery on any article of clothing is allowed.

SHIRTS. Polo, Button-down, Peter Pan, Turtleneck.
No denim or ¾ length sleeves. Shirts should fit properly. If untucked, the shirt must be waist length. Shirts with tails must be tucked in.

PANTS. Twill, Blends, Corduroy.
Pants must be ankle length, be hemmed and should fit properly. No knit or denim fabric is allowed. No sweat, carpenter, cargo, flannel, wind pants, zip-off, or overall/jumpsuits are allowed. Leggings may not be worn as pants.

SKIRTS, SPLIT SKIRTS, SHORTS & JUMPERS.
Shall be knee length when standing.

OTHER.
Shorts are not permitted, unless underneath a skirt or jumper. If worn, they are to be solid navy blue and must not be visible when standing or sitting.
Belts, if worn, must be solid and in a coordinating color.
Socks, Tights, Leggings are required with shoes and must be solid navy blue or white. Solid navy blue leggings can be worn under skirts or jumpers.
A pair or two of indoor shoes should be left at school. Indoor shoes will be for inside the school and for PE. Laces must be tied. Shoes with lights, musical features, open-toe sandals, platform shoes or shoes with heels more than 1-inch are not allowed.
Wrist watches, necklaces and one pair of non-dangle earrings are acceptable jewelry. Makeup, body glitter or visible tattoos are not allowed. Lip balm and chap stick are okay.
Hair should be neat, clean and well groomed. Hats and bandanas shall not be worn inside the school. Hair accessories must coordinate with dress code colors.
Scout uniforms can be worn on meeting days.
For days with schedules field trips standard school dress is required unless specified by the administration.
On theme days, students who do not participate in theme day attire,as defined by administration,must wear standard school attire.
Physical Education Athletic shoes, either pants,shorts, or sweat pants. If shorts are worn they shall be between fingertip & knee length. Short sleeve shirt in cotton or cotton blend fabric is recommended.

The SEAS School Board expects the dress code to be supported and enforced by the parents or guardians of the student. Should a student come to school improperly dressed, the principal or teacher will ask the student to come into compliance and written notification of the violation will be sent home. A second violation will result in the same. Upon a third violation, the teacher and/or principal will contact the parents/guardians to make necessary arrangements to bring the child into compliance before the child resume instruction at SEAS.

There are several stores in Anchorage that carry some items of clothing to outfit your child in compliance to the SEAS Dress Code. There are also several mail order/internet companies that carry SEAS-compliance clothing. A complete list of "tried and true" venders used by SEAS families can be requested at the SEAS office.
